In this Starter course, we will introduce basic principles in the diagnosis of fractures, and focus on closed fracture treatment. An important aspect of closed fracture management is the application of casts. Therefore, extensive theoretical and hands-on practical sessions regarding plastering will be provided. The course is open to all care providers involved in the initial management of trauma.

OTC I starter course “Closed fracture treatment & casting techniques”, will take place on Saturday 12th of October at UZA Antwerp.
In this Starter course, we will mainly focus on acute and closed fracture treatment, including practical tips and tricks on diagnosis and closed reduction maneuvers. An important aspect of closed fracture management is the application of casts. Therefore, extensive theoretical and hands-on practical sessions regarding plastering will be provided. The course is open to all trainees involved in the initial management of trauma.
