
OTC III – Intermediate
Learning objectives: osteosynthesis techniques including intramedullary, external and plate fixation of complex intra-article fractures
Who: 3rd to 6th year trainees in orthopedic surgery and/or traumatology
Content: theoretical sessions and cadaveric workshops
Timing: every two year
More advanced osteosynthesis techniques are demonstrated in the Intermediate course. This course enables surgical trainees to learn common osteosynthesis techniques such as intramedullary nailing, screw or plate fixation in the management of fractures. Both theoretical and practical sessions are provided.
